    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: October 2026

    General

The UED Institute ("the Institute", "we") respects the privacy of visitors to this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are.

By using the site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

    Information we collect

Information you provide: name, email address and profile details when you sign up (including via Google or Apple), notes you write in the books, and messages you send through the contact form or newsletter.

Information collected automatically: your last reading position in the books and display preferences (stored in your browser), and basic usage data used to operate and improve the site.

Site activity for signed-in users: the pages you visited, when, and how long you stayed on each page. This information is visible to the site administrator only and is used to understand and improve the use of the site.

Payment details: payments are processed by an external payment provider. We do not store credit card details on the site.

    How we use the information

Providing the site's services: access to content according to your membership level, saving your notes and progress, and restoring your reading position.

Communication: responding to inquiries and sending updates and newsletters to those who opted in.

Improving the site: general, anonymous usage analysis to improve content and experience.

    Sharing information with third parties

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only with providers required to operate the site (hosting, authentication, payments and email delivery), subject to their confidentiality obligations.

Notes you write in the books are visible to the site administrator for response and handling, and are not visible to other users.

    Cookies and external content

The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Browser-local storage is used only for essential purposes: display language, reading position in the books and display preferences.

YouTube videos are shown in privacy-enhanced mode (nocookie), which does not set tracking cookies until the video is played.

Content from social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn) may set provider cookies. Such content loads only after your approval, and you can avoid loading it at any time.

    Data security and retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including database-level access controls. However, no system is completely secure.

Information is kept as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

    Your rights

You can view your details on the profile page, request correction or deletion of your information, and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

You can delete your account yourself through the profile area. Deletion removes your details, notes, reading progress and activity history.

For privacy requests, contact us through the contact page.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. An updated version will be published on this page, and continued use of the site constitutes agreement to the updated version.
